I’m a senior in high school and I’m interested in going into business so it would be great to hear from someone who has majored in either one.
What’s the difference between business law and business finance majors?

I am an attorney (currently inactive as I no longer need to practice). Business law is not a good undergraduate major. Both entrepreneurs and corporations have their legal matters handled by attorneys. Business law is not a good pre-law major as it concentrates on specific matters which are covered in law school at a much more advanced level. The best pre-law majors are history, classics and English as they teach the critical reading, thinking and writing skills which are required in law school.
Business with a concentration in finance deals with the financial aspects of business–raising and investing money. It is fine preparation for an immediate business career or an MBA degree.
